Cabaret of Moral Unrest
"Tego nie grali jeszcze grzeali' (They Haven't Played That Yet) is the latest programme from Kabaret Moralnego Niepokoju, creators of the series 'Ucho prezesa' (The President's Ear). But there's not much politics here, because there's too much going on in the world to deal only with politics, and how much can there be?
In keeping with the title, all the skits are premieres, unfamiliar from the internet or television, and even a little more - exploring new forms that KMN has not used before. The audience is confronted with topics that plague us all - how to take a family holiday abroad and not go crazy trying to choose a restaurant for dinner, how to use a neighbour to save your son from an inevitable failure in maths, what to do with a lady who only comes to clean, but over time takes over the whole house together with the members of the household. It's nice to realise that others have the same thing. It really helps, sometimes more than laughing.
It is witty, atmospheric, sometimes lyrical, the actors on stage are sober, they do not profane crosses, they do not laugh at people just because they have a different skin colour, they do not drag the audience on stage to ridicule them, on the contrary, they take care of their comfort by trying to speak to them clearly and yet not spit at them (front row).
And all this against a backdrop of scenery that takes your breath away. And not because it's dusty, but because it's striking.
