Voo Voo - Premiere
It is difficult to find a band similar to VooVoo, which for years has been synonymous with musical artistry, but at the same time continues to search and does not allow itself to be written off as rigidly divided into genres. Wojciech Waglewski's group is best known for its unique live performances. VooVoo's latest album, Premiera (Agora Publishing House), is partly the result of an excellent live streak, as well as a desire to present the band's current form to the audience. Most of the songs were recorded "by the hundred" during live improvisations in the studio.
This is what Wojciech Waglewski himself has to say about the making of the album: "On the occasion of these recordings, there was a fantastic collaboration with two women: Masha Natanson, whose talent really deserves to be disseminated, and if we have succeeded even a little, it is already a success. The meeting with Hania Rani was exceptionally and surprisingly even coherent, because, as it turned out, my harmonic anarchy and the unpredictability of the band musicians' inventiveness are close to hers. The band's meetings in the studio were very intense. The recordings took a short time in order not to lose any of the energy we hope to transfer to the stage soon. This is a VooVoo record, it sounds like a VooVoo record, it looks like a VooVoo record and it tastes like a VooVoo record. Enjoy... Vagel"
